About Micro USB Cable (for ESP32 DevKit V1)
This Micro USB Cable for ESP32 DevKit V1 is an essential accessory for working with ESP32 development boards that use a Micro-B USB connector. The cable provides both 5V USB power and data connectivity, allowing you to upload firmware, monitor serial output and power the board during development. It is suitable for common ESP32 DevKit V1 30-pin boards based on ESP32-WROOM-32, including boards that use CP2102, CH340 or similar USB-to-UART bridge ICs.
When connected to a computer, the cable links the ESP32 DevKit V1 to the USB port and enables communication between development software such as Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, PlatformIO or serial terminal tools and the board’s UART programming interface. It can also be used simply as a 5V power cable for running ESP32 IoT prototypes from a USB charger, power bank or powered USB hub, provided the power source can supply enough current for the board and connected sensors.
For ESP32 projects, using a proper data-capable Micro USB cable is important. Many low-cost mobile charging cables are power-only and may not allow firmware upload or COM port detection. This cable is selected for electronics development use where stable connection, repeat programming and easy bench wiring matter.
