About 840-Point Solderless Breadboard (MB-102)

The MB-102 840-Point Solderless Breadboard is one of the most widely used electronic prototyping boards for labs, classrooms, workshops and DIY electronics projects. It lets you create temporary circuits by simply inserting component leads and jumper wires into spring contacts, so there is no PCB fabrication, no soldering and no damage to reusable parts. This makes it perfect for testing ideas before making a final PCB or soldered prototype. This full-size MB-102 style breadboard uses the standard 2.54 mm hole pitch, matching common DIP ICs, resistors, capacitors, LEDs, transistors, headers and male jumper wires. The main terminal area is arranged as 128 groups of 5 connected terminals, giving a practical matrix for placing ICs across the centre gap and wiring components around them. The side bus sections provide 8 power rail groups of 25 connected terminals each, useful for distributing VCC and GND across Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP8266, ESP32, sensor and motor-driver test circuits. Because it is solderless, the MB-102 breadboard is especially useful for electronics students, R&D benches, repair testing, embedded developers and hobbyists who need to quickly change a circuit during debugging. Typical projects include LED blinkers, transistor switching, op-amp experiments, microcontroller I/O testing, sensor interfacing, logic IC trials and power supply distribution for low-voltage circuits. The board is passive and does not include any built-in power supply; use it with a regulated external supply or a compatible breadboard power module when required. For reliable operation, use solid-core jumper wires or male headers that fit standard breadboard contacts, commonly around 0.8 mm pin diameter. Package includes one MB-102 840 tie-point solderless breadboard. Note: some suppliers list this same MB-102 class board as 830-point or 840-point depending on how tie points and rail sections are counted.
