Project Details

The ESP32 ESP-NOW Communication project enables direct, encrypted data exchange between ESP32 devices using the ESP-NOW protocol. It operates independently of routers, offering high speed and low power consumption. This makes ESP-NOW ideal for smart sensor networks, remote control systems, mesh-like IoT applications, and battery-powered devices. The project demonstrates how to initialize ESP-NOW, register peer MAC addresses, and send/receive data packets wirelessly between ESP32 nodes.

How It Works

The ESP32 initializes Wi-Fi in station mode and enables the ESP-NOW protocol. Devices register each other's MAC addresses as peers. Data packets are structured and sent wirelessly between ESP32 devices. The receiver processes incoming data through a callback function. Optional acknowledgment can be sent back to confirm receipt. The system operates independently of routers, providing fast, low-latency communication ideal for IoT applications.
